Story
There is a new earth 120 years away. All the passengers are in hibernation but something goes wrong with the ship. The malfunction causes Jim, one of the fellow passenger to wake up. He woke up 90 years early, which means he’ll perpetually be in a journey but never arrive the destination. He becomes isolated after an year of being alone and trying everything in his power to escape. Finally out of desperation to connect with someone, he pulls Aurora - another passenger, out of her hibernation. But he hides it from her. They fall in love but eventually she gets to know. She hates him.
Later they find out that the ship is in deep trouble. A captain wakes up from his hibernation due to some malfunction. He dies but asks Aurora and Jim to save the ship. Jim almost dies fixing the ship but this gets Aurora and Jim back together. Jim finds out that with the captain’s access card he can afford Aurora a hibernation that can let her live in the new planet.
Aurora denies and lives with Jim, makes a small world in there with trees and nature. Somehow they even got animals but whatever. The spacecraft reaches Homestead II (The new earth) to find out what’s Aurora and Jim left behind (Nature and Aurora’s journal)
Dialogues
Jim: I’m your only customer, why are you always polishing a glass?
Arthur: Trick of the trade. Makes people nervous when a bartender just stands there
Jim: So lay some bartender wisdom on me, I’m lost in space here
Arthur: You are not where you want to be. You feel like you’re supposed to be somewhere else
Jim: (smirks) You said it!
Arthur: Well, say you could snap your fingers and, be wherever you want it to be. I bet you’d feel this way. Not in the right place. The point is, you can’t get so hung up on where you’d rather be that you forget how to make the most of where you are
Jim: What are you telling me?
Arthur: Take a break from worrying about what you can’t control. Live a little :)
